Mountz Jewelers adds to their expert staff with Elizabeth Schindler’s completion of stone setting course, making her the third Advanced Diamond Setter on staff.
Elizabeth Schindler, jeweler at local retail jewelry store Mountz Jewelers, recently earned her Advanced Stone Setting certificate from New Approach School for Jewelers in Franklin, Tennessee. The New Approach School for Jewelers (NASJ) is recommended by Jewelers of America and other distinguished jewelry professionals. Established in 1996, NASJ’s mission is to offer both new and experienced bench jewelers visual-intensive, hands-on jewelry repair and fabrication training to help them increase their productivity.
Prior to joining Mountz Jewelers in February of 2013, Elizabeth worked as a jeweler locally and in Charleston, South Carolina for over ten years. Elizabeth’s passion for jewelry began in the art program at her high school which encouraged her to pursue her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in metalsmithing from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Elizabeth then received her Masters of Arts (MA) from American University in Arts Management and her Goldsmith Certificate from Sterling International. Elizabeth brings Mountz Jewelers’ total number of Advanced Diamond Setters to three within the company.
“With the new concepts on stone setting techniques that Elizabeth has learned through the NASJ program, Elizabeth has positioned herself as an Advanced Diamond Setter,” said Tonia Ulsh, Chief Operating Officer at Mountz Jewelers. “This focus on education at Mountz Jewelers is just one aspect of our promise to deliver an exceptional experience. Having three Advanced Diamond Setters on staff, one at each of our locations, our knowledge base is unrivaled in our market.”
