Mountz Jewelers Celebrates 40th Anniversary with “INSPIRE 40” Community Gifting Campaign

CAMP HILL, PA (August 13, 2019)Ron Leitzel and Tonia Leitzel Ulsh, owners of Mountz Jewelers, are celebrating 40 years in business with INSPIRE 40, a gifting campaign to surprise and recognize inspiring individuals and organizations in central Pennsylvania who enrich the community and make the places we call home stronger, brighter, and more joyful.

Each recipient was surprised with a personal You Inspire Us! invitation to visit one of their three stores and receive an award and a personal, hand-chosen gift as a thank you for serving the community in their own unique way.

“In honor of our father’s rich heritage in the jewelry industry, we unveiled INSPIRE 40 in August to show our gratitude to individuals who are quietly serving others in kindness and love—the well-known and the underknown,” says Tonia Leitzel Ulsh. “People who define grace, generosity, resilience, sacrifice, and who are living with uncommon regard for others. They are the bedrock of our communities, and they are priceless and irreplaceable.”

Several of the first Inspirers to be recognized were Major Kristal M. Turner-Childs, Director, Bureau of Forensic Services, Pennsylvania State Police, Cindy Minnich, Community Outreach and Events, The Salvation Army Harrisburg Capital City Region, and Jan Skipper, volunteer who proudly holds the title of highest grossing individual bell ringer for The Salvation Army Harrisburg Capital City Region. “Jan is an inspiration to us and her enthusiasm to give back is contagious. We are humbled by her devotion and her positive impact on our region,” says Tonia Leitzel Ulsh.

“I was honored to visit Mountz Jewelers in Camp Hill—shout out to Tonia Leitzel Ulsh and Ron Leitzel. They were recognizing people for their 40th anniversary. Most jewelry stores when they have anniversaries, they have sales, but Mountz did something different. They were recognizing individuals in the community that were impacting the lives of others, and I was blessed to be one of them. I certainly didn’t think people were paying attention to my fitness videos—people are watching so keep going, keep pushing, and inspiring people!” says Major Kristal M. Turner-Childs.

“We are deeply inspired by the people we serve at Mountz,” says Ron Leitzel. “As we reflect on 40 years of selecting, designing, and caring for world-class gems and jewelry, we are excited and honored to turn our milestone into a community-wide celebration.”

“From the time we were children, our father encouraged us to always treat our clients as priceless and irreplaceable. We are thrilled to meet our Inspirers in person and show them how grateful we are for their generosity, passion, and heart,” says Tonia Leitzel Ulsh.

Along with 25 individual Inspirers, Mountz is recognizing D.R.E.A.M. with 10 scholarships for young people with disabilities to attend post-secondary education, as well as donations to Harrisburg Area YMCA, Project SHARE, Bethesda Mission, and The Bosler Memorial Library.
