Mountz Jewelers Will Host Miss PA as a Special Guest at Business & Industry Night on Thursday, October 5

Camp Hill, PA, September 21, 2017 – Local jewelry store, Mountz Jewelers is proud to announce that newly crowned Miss Pennsylvania, Katie Schreckengast, will be their special guest at the West Shore Chamber of Commerce Business & Industry Expo on Thursday, October 5 from 2 to 6 p.m. Katie will be present at the Mountz Jewelers booth, participating in the expo’s Extreme Makeover: Chamber Edition theme and talking to attendees at the annual networking expo at the Radisson Penn-Harris Hotel. She will be speaking about her experiences as Miss Pennsylvania as well as her platform Building Families Through Adoption.

“This year’s Miss Pennsylvania is local to Central PA,” says Tonia Ulsh, President and Chief Operating Officer of Mountz Jewelers. “Having Katie as a Palmyra resident, a current student at Penn State University and a member of the Penn State Blue Band, makes her presence at this event even more exciting for our entire team. We look forward to congratulating her on her top 15 finish in the Miss America pageant and sharing her with our local colleagues!”

At the expo, Katie will wear the official “Miss Pennsylvania Crown”, courtesy of the Pennsylvania Jewelers’ Association (PJA). The crown, which is made of 14-karat gold, features 92 carats of amethyst stones, including a 37 carat amethyst stone cut in the shape of a keystone surrounded by 214 diamonds. The gemstones and gold of the crown were donated by local jewelers and members of the PJA, and made into the custom crown valued at $35,000. The crown will be on display at Mountz Jeweler’s Camp Hill store, starting Monday, September 25 until Wednesday, October 4. We encourage all princesses at heart, to stop by and try on this gorgeous one-of-a-kind crown that only Miss Pennsylvania has the opportunity to wear.
