Rhodolite Garnet comes from the Greek “rhodon” meaning “rose colored,” which refers to its pinkish hue. When “rose colored” Garnet was discovered in North Carolina the rose hue was reminiscent of Rhododendron flowers. Rhodolite Garnet can occur raspberry red, purplish-red, or pink.
