Mountz Jewelers donating to Project Share

Carlisle Chamber Members Come Together to Donate Thanksgiving Foods for Project Share

Camp Hill, PA, November 6, 2017 – At a chamber mixer hosted at Mountz Jewelers’ Carlisle location, the Greater Carlisle Area Chamber of Commerce members donated over 100 cans of food and $142 for Project SHARE, an organization based in Carlisle that provides Thanksgiving food to 1500 nearby families in Central Pennsylvania. As Mountz Jewelers did last year, they matched the donations by providing 50 turkeys to Project SHARE.

“Due to our very successful chamber mixers the last few years, we decided to once again focus on a bountiful harvest theme. We invited our chamber mixer attendees to bring canned goods and donations and give back to those in need in our communities,” said Tonia Ulsh, President/Chief Operations Officer and co-owner of Mountz Jewelers. “We were once again overwhelmed by the generosity of the attendees and our own employees! By coming together in celebration of the Thanksgiving season, we are thrilled to be presenting Project SHARE with the cans collected. In addition, Mountz Jewelers is again proud to donate 50 turkeys to Project SHARE.”

“This year, as they have for so many years in the past, Mountz Jewelers has demonstrated the compassion and community spirit that is pervasive throughout the Carlisle community. We at Project SHARE are blessed by Mountz’s generosity as they partner with us to help some of our most vulnerable neighbors,” said Bob Weed, Interim CEO at Project SHARE. “The mixer hosted by Mountz Jewelers is a great kick-off to a season of Thanksgiving and joy. This donation significantly strengthens our efforts this holiday season and helps our clients as they gather around their tables for a wholesome traditional Thanksgiving meal.”
