Perfect Moment #ThousandsAndCounting

Jill & Lino, July 2015

Mountz Jewelers has yet another Perfect Moment to share! Our friends Jill and Lino got engaged this summer in the very romantic Rome, Italy with St. Peter’s Square as their backdrop. For all those lovers out there, Jill and Lino’s story below is one that can’t be missed.

Jill and Lino’s Perfect Moment July 2015

Jill and Lino celebrate their recent engagement in Rome, Italy!“Jill and Lino met through Lino’s show on SiriusXM satellite radio “The Catholic Guy Show” in April of 2014. Jill, a convert to the Catholic faith, was making her first trip to Rome while Lino, a lifelong Catholic, led a group of listeners on pilgrimage. The two quickly became friends as they toured the sights and ate their way across Italy. Toward the end of the trip they managed to sneak away for an impromptu first date at a small wine bar on the Borgo Pio, which led to a long-distance romance once they returned to the States. For the year that followed, there were frequent trips between Washington, DC and New York City, and their work travels allowed them to have memorable dates in places like Des Moines, Phoenix and London, England. Shortly after their 1 year anniversary, the couple returned to Rome on vacation with friends. On the second evening of the trip, Jill and Lino returned to a nearly empty St. Peter’s Square—a place of significance for them both in terms of their faith and the start of their relationship. In front of a beautifully lit St. Peter’s Basilica Lino knelt on one knee, presented a cushion cut solitaire, and asked Jill to become his wife. The two will wed exactly two years after they began to date, in a small, intimate ceremony with family and close friends at St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City.” We will be thinking of Jill and Lino as they continue their lifelong travels together and Mountz will be here if and when they should need our services again. Boy, our ring looks great on Rome! Â
